

Building new Bridges.
Today, I took another trip into Folkestone town. Having been here for a little over six weeks now it’s probably my third trip down into the Creative (Quarter Steep St/Tontine St). More and more of the creative quarter is starting to open up again with several galleries and artists studios active, the whole area is gradually becoming visibly vibrant once again. United response – an exhibition unexpected.
As Louis and I walked along Cheriton High Street the other day, we noticed in a double fronted shop window, used as a community space managed by a charity, United Response, an advert caught my eye calling for artists who live locally to contribute to an exhibition scheduled for a week from 24th July, which was actually only two weeks away. So on returning home, I promptly contacted the organiser, sent them a few images and said that my paintings were currently in storage and

It’s been a difficult time for everyone during the past 18 months, many things have changed, some for the better some not! But each of us I think, has also had time to reflect on what we have been doing and cogitate on what we can be doing going forward. Somethings we will want to return to, other things we want to let go and move on.
